For example, let’s say that you see your parents packing the gifts for Christmas, but you will doubt the evidence that Santa Claus doesn’t exist, by coming up with the story that maybe that’s the way Santa Claus operates - perhaps that he hypnotizes your parents to do his bidding, but ultimately he’s deciding which gifts you’re going to get. Your parents are the mere executioners of his will. We can rationalize any belief that we have.
